A Motorsport-Inspired 458 with OEM Ferrari Carbon Fiber Additions

458 Spider

This Rosso Corsa over Nero Ferrari 458 Spider with 17,235 miles displays a motorsport-inspired combination that dramatically befits the contours of the vehicle. Powered by the incredible 4.5L Naturally-Aspirated V8 Engine, the 458 produces 562 horsepower and a soaring 9,000 rpm redline paired to the 7-speed F1 Dual Clutch Transmission. This example has been elevated with extensive OEM Ferrari carbon fiber additions; the hood, wing mirrors, gas door, side skirts, door handles and front winglets all carry the same weave, a set rarely seen complete on a 458 fully protected by PPF. The vehicle is optioned with 20″ multi-spoke Grigio Corsa diamond-finish wheels with OEM Ferrari Titanium stud bolts, yellow brake calipers, and titanium exhaust tips, a combination that stands out amongst other well-optioned 458s. Open the engine cover and the OEM Ferrari carbon theme goes further with carbon engine bay panels, airbox, intake manifold and an engine lock cover.

On the interior, the Ferrari design team created a cockpit to implement both ergonomics and their ‘Human-Machine’ connection philosophy. The Nero Leather seats with Alcantara center sections feature optioned red deviated stitching and the Tricolore stripe down the center, a special-order detail. The Cavallino on both headrests is also contrasted in red as are the seatbelts, bringing the exterior to the interior. The dash with red deviated stitching is completed with a specially optioned carbon fiber steering wheel including the LED shift lights, Tricolore stitching, and the adjustable Manettino that allows the driver to switch between the vehicle’s driving modes. The OEM Ferrari Carbon fiber additions continues through the center console, door sills, racing shift paddles, as well as the transmission fin with the Tricolore surrounds on the selectors, cohesively tying the alcantara & leather cabin together.

The 458 Italia debuted at Frankfurt in 2011 as Ferrari’s replacement for the F430, and in hindsight it marks the end of an era. The last mid-engine V8 from Maranello to rely purely on natural aspiration before turbocharging, and later hybridization, took over the lineup. That naturally-aspirated character, is something later 488s and F8s, for all their added power, don’t attempt to replicate.
