2011 Red Porsche 911 Speedster

One of two Guards Red 2011 Speedsters made for the world.

Introduced in 2011, the Porsche 911 Speedster was the send-off model to the 997 generation, marking an era’s end.

The 997.2 generation was the watercooled Porsche, perfected. It was the final generation of Porsche made with the Mezger powerplant. It signified an important time for Porsche by introducing one of the greatest transmissions of all time; PDK. It also was the last 911 to be made with hydraulic steering, making it a truly connected, driver-focused, sports car that could be enjoyed in all capabilities.

Used as the transition between generations, Speedsters were the final silhouettes of their respective 911 generations with limited productions and updated lines remnant of the iconic 356 Speedsters from Porsche’s past.

Meant to be the ultimate, open-top sports car, the 911 Speedster has a sleeker roof-less design with a revised windshield that is 60 millimeters lower and double-humped roof storage, its design is timeless.

To pay respects to the iconic 356, the 997 generation Speedster was limited to only 356 units worldwide, making it the rarest Speedster.

Powered by a 408 horsepower 3.8 liter water-cooled flat-six, the 997 generation Speedster offered higher performance than the Carrera S and came equipped with Porsche’s triumphant PDK transmission. In the revised cabin, the leather-wrapped sport seats are inscribed with the “Speedster” insignia.

Extended leather continues throughout the cabin with leather covered speaker panels, door latches, window control surrounds, upper and lower dashboard sections, which deviates between white and black tones. Marked number 320 of the 356, the dashboard carries a plaque displaying the uniqueness of this Speedster with illuminated polished door sills also reminding you of just how special this piece of Porsche history is.

Rarest of the rare

Being the only Guards Red 997 Speedster for the US market, this is one of the rarest colored 997 Speedsters made. With only 4515 miles, it has been enjoyed responsibly, having been in our private family collection. Equipped from the factory with checker delete interior, deviated stitching, and fire extinguisher, this example has great options. Also preserved with Xpel PPF on high impact areas, the paint on this Speedster is in superb original conditions. 

Available with all records and recent services available, this car is ready for its next collector to enjoy. An essential piece for the discerning Porsche collector, especially those with an affinity to Guards Red.
