With the massive success overseas of the 996 GT3RS, the US finally received its first GT3RS with the 997 platform. Being the second generation of the water cooled 911 and referred to by many experts as the “perfected one”, the 997 chassis brought back the iconic round headlights that Porsche lovers adore and had another, final iteration of Hans Mezger’s greatest achievements.

This example of GT3RS spec is known as the Pumpkin. Originally launched to the press in this striking Orange with black script livery, the 997 GT3RS came to the world in Orange, Black, White, Green and Silver. Each with a deviated insignia script on the side, just like the previous generation, and each with the same naturally aspirated, manual-only 3.6-liter powerplant that produced 415hp at 7600rpm.
