The three most important letters in BMW, CSL. Limited to 1300 units, none for the US...except this one.

Brought into the world as the most extreme M3 BMW could produce at the time, the M3 CSL was an homage to the iconic three letters known for racing success during their Group 4 racing days.

M3 CSL

Pioneering lightweight dynamics for the M platform, the E46 M3 CSL had a tremendous 3.85 kg per hp, pushing 360 horsepower out of the CSL-specific naturally aspirated, inline six, S54B32HP. Mated to BMW’s most advanced SMG gearbox at the time, the M3 CSL was able to lap the infamous Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 50 seconds.

Optioned in either Silver Grey or Sapphire Black, this BMW icon was striking and is believed that around 25% of the run was optioned in Black. With only a handful in the US, very few CSLs were brought in, most federalized and others restricted to show and display…but not this one. Soon to be with its next caretakers, we are honored to have been able to find this historic moment in BMW M3 lineage.
