A unique moment in Porsche’s history. Carrera Cup meant that 45 race-spec Carrera Cup cars needed to be brought into the States, but to avoid any importing issues they arrived in street-legal specification and Porsche tuner ANDIAL was commissioned to do the racing modifications. With the unfortunate cancellation of the series, these Carrera Cup cars ended up being sold through dealer channels, living hard lives as club-level, pro-am race cars, seldom seen in original conditions…
Carrera Cup #19 is an example of a “converted” car that was returned to street trim at Andial and sold as a street car with the “Carrera Cup USA” option.
Having traveled only 1400 miles and escaping the fate of a racing car, #19 was in impeccable condition when purchased by a collector in 2011 needing period-correct corrections.
